Internship at Warsaw Mechanical Works “PZL-WZM” in Warsaw S.A.
This year’s WUZETEM traineesFor the last 4 weeks, they have been accompanying the employees of the plant in their daily duties. During this time, they had the opportunity to acquire valuable knowledge, experience, see how the company operates, and find out what duties are incumbent on the employees of theQuality Control, IT and Technical and Production Office departments .
The internship program in the Quality Control Department included:
- familiarization with the procedures in force in the Company and at workplaces;
- testing and approval for use of measuring equipment – setters (measurement on an ABBE vertical length gauge);
- Length and angle measurements using the Venture optical CMM
- thickness measurements of DLC-coated needles on an Anton Paar instrument;
- final inspection of finished products – carried out in accordance with the control plan (linear measurements, depth measurements,
angular measurements, visual inspection, checking of shape deviations); - quality control of deliveries carried out for steel and oil;
- participating in the audit of the production process;
- participation in inspection control in production;
- performing pneumatic measurements on the APLISENS instrument.
Internships in the Technical and Production Office consisted of:
- construction of technological, control and measurement equipment along with construction drawings
including the assignment of characteristics; - optimising the design of tooling taking into account quality requirements and manufacturing costs;
- creating construction documentation and introducing changes to the existing tooling documentation;
- designing parts for owned machines and supervising their production.
On the other hand, interns in the IT Department have expanded their competences in the field of:
- technical and IT security support;
- installation and configuration of server software;
- management of users and network resources;
- servicing of equipment;
- creating and maintaining documentation;
- monitoring of systems;
- execution of backup tasks.
All trainees were under the watchful eye of experts from WUZET, who took care of the proper preparation
students to work in similar positions in the future. The training of future specialists has been completed
awarding diplomas confirming the completion of internships.
